Astraware and Pop Cap present…..”Insaniquarium Deluxe” for your pocket.

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

As if having a hot summer sale on isn´t enough, Astraware have now also launched Insaniquarium Deluxe. This is based on the highly popular PC game of the same name from Pop Cap. Now available for for Palm OS(R) 5 smartphones and PDAs with at least a 320×320 screen, and for smartphones and PDAs running Windows Mobile(R) 2003 and later.  No mention as yet of an iPhone version.  And why should iPhone users have all the fun?

So what´s it all about? Remember Tamagoochi? Well, this is an aquatic version. Feed yor fish and keep them happy. Happy contented fish will reward you with coins and jewels. With these, you can buy upgrades for your tank or egg parts which hatch lots of different in-tank pets with special powers. These pets can help you feed your fish, collect coins, or even protect against the aliens that will invade your tank and wreak havoc. You can also use the money you earn to buy better weapons to see the aliens off quicker!

But wait! There´s more to it than just that.  Read on for more details about all three of the “insane” games modes:

  1. Adventure - keep your fish healthy and protect them from aliens through 4
    fun aquarium stages each with multiple levels of mayhem;
  2. Time Trial - feed your fish and fight off the alien invaders to make as
    much money as possible against the clock. A new time trial is unlocked as
    you complete each stage in Adventure
  3. Challenge - once you’ve mastered Adventure, face the ultimate challenge as
    you feed your fish and try to protect them from ever increasing alien
    attacks. The challenge ends when the last fish is zapped!

Sounds like an aweful lot of fun and action. Exactly what we have come to expect from the top quality games from the guys and gals at Astraware. For more details about the game and to purchase and download visit http://www.astraware.com/insaniquariumdlx. Price? $19.95.

And the last word goes to Astraware, just to clear up a small detail:

To avoid confusion, this is separate to the original Insaniquarium game we
released a few years back, which was based on PopCap’s much simpler web
game. Registration codes for Insaniquarium will not work for Insaniquarium
Deluxe.

This is such a cool game, I played until the last level once during testing and that took quite a time investment. However, now that it is released I will gladly start again!
