Update on April 16th 2008: You can now get it for only $149. It’s $99 (no typo there) if you are renewing your contract. How cool is that?
If you’ve been looking to upgrade your current phone to the Tilt and thought the cost was a bit too high then you may be in luck, especially if you are not scared off by the thought of a refurbished model.

AT&T’s online store has it for $199 (that is $200 off of the new model price before rebate) with a 2-Year contract and there are no rebates needed. That is the final price with free shipping. If you are re-upping then you can knock another $50 off for an out the door price of $149 with free shipping. The refurbished discount only seems to apply when you are signing a new contract so it is still a better situation to go with the new model if you don’t have a contract option on your account.

Great news Brian. Now, if only I were not on contract.
Yeah, I actually used my contract to get this. I was holding out for the new Sony, but couldn’t pass this one up. Now what to do with the 8525
Guys, I checked it out this morning at 9:53am CT and I came up with $149.99! No rebate, two year contract! 50 bucks better!

Doug,
Nice catch, I just looked as well and it seems they added another $50 to the refurb discount. Now I have to call up customer service to see if I can get them to match that on the order I put in yesterday.
That’s an awesome deal man. $149 for a refurb is a pretty good deal I must say. Want me to change the title?
The refurb Tilt is still 149 but it’s been out of stock for some time. I’m hoping they will come back when the $100 MIR for the new one expires. I’d pay 199 for a new one but the rebate requires a pda plan for over 45/month. Not a good deal if you do not plan to use the service. WIFI is good enough for me seeing as though hotspots will be all around me upon entering my legal studies. (prices are based on an eligible upgrade)
