Dashwire Goes Beta

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Your Pocket PC’s a great device but you have to admit, sometimes, it’s just much easier to organize the data on your computer. While there have been remote controllers like SOTI Pocket Controller and even the free MyMobiler, these applications basically provides your Pocket PC with mouse and keyboard. That’s not to say that they are not great applications. But if you are looking for an application to backup and organize your phone intuitively, then you’ll want to check out Dashwire.

dashwire

It’s hard to describe what Dashwire exactly is because there is nothing quite like it in the market. For one, it backs up your phone online. It also allows you to share your experiences and on top of that, it promises to simplify your phone. So how does this it all this? Through a rather nifty web interface. Check this video out to see just what I mean.

Those unable to view the video but want to know what it does, here’s a sample:

  • Edit your phone settings from the web.
  • Send text messages from the web.
  • Share photos/videos on your phone.
  • Visual voicemail.
  • Automatic sync-ing
  • Free!!
  • Many other features…

Looks pretty awesome doesn’t it? The application is free so if you have yet to sign up for it, you can do so here. I just did and will be providing my review of it soon.

I saw this the other day. It sounds interesting. I may have to sign up and see if I can figure out what it does. :)

It seems pretty easy from the video. I have signed up and so far, so good. Will let you know my thoughts in a review soon.

Looking forward to the review, Tariq.

After seeing this information, I signed up for the service and have been happily suprised! I am a salesman and must take pictures of product that may be damaged or substandard and email those pictures to the office for quality control purposes. Dashwire makes this simpler than ever before. Instead of hunting for the correct picture on the storage card in my Mogul, I can now find the most currently taken pictures on my Dashwire page and email it from there. What a great site!

I think these application is what you have been waiting for and I am glad you found it. I have been having some problems with the application on my end due to my device but the development team have been great so far in helping me fix it. Hopefully I can get it up and running soon.
