Googling On Your Windows Mobile

When it comes to downloading stuff directly to your phone from the web, it can be a frustrating experience. The site is not formatted properly, you need to go through many pages just to reach the download page or once you do, the file is in .exe format (which means you need to run it from your desktop instead). Seeing a problem in this area, Google has taken a great initiative and created their Google Mobile page to be a friendly site for Windows Mobile users.
Rather than searching for what Google products work on your Windows Mobile device, just head over to http://www.google.com/mobile/winmo/index.html and choose from their wide offerings of Search, Map and Gmail. Not all can be downloaded to your phone and most of links to the mobile formatted pages but it’s still a step in the right direction. Thank to this page, I now know that there is Picasa for Windows Mobile too. Or am I the last to know?
If you’re planning to use it all from that Windows Mobile device of yours, be sure to hit up http://www.google.com/mobile/winmo/index.html or go there with your desktop browser and send the link to your phone. Whatever method you choose, Google has you covered. (via WMExperts)

Thanks for the info Tariq. I personally love the whole send it to me via SMS thing. I wish all developers did this.
If you don’t want to play the SMS game on the downloads you can also go to http://m.google.com to get the bits they offer.
Agreed. Or email since a lot of us WinMo users use email as well and with text messaging rates going up.
