GTS World Racing for iPhone and iPod Touch

Handmark/Astraware have just announced their first application for the iPhone & iPod Touch. Available immediately at the Apple App Store. And what a start it is too!
GTS World Racing makes use of the built-in accelerometer in both Apple models. No need to have any buttons or a D-Pad. Just tilt the device forward to accelerate, tilt back to brake and tilting left and right…. well, I guess you know where I am going with this. Right? There are 64 tracks to choose from, various difficulty levels and multi-player modes, as well as 4 exciting play modes – Single Race, Challenge Cup, Grand
Tour, and Championship.
And the graphics are stunning! Sadly, there is no trial version available, but there is a preview video to whet your appetite. Not being an iPhone/iPod Touch owner, I have to say that having watched the video I was stunned at the fluidity of the game and the quality of the graphics. Not to mention the fantastic control system. I think I´d quite happily swap my PS2 for an iPhone. Come to think of it, I think I´d swap my grandmother!
A shame that there is not a trial version available. I am most definately a try-before-I-buy person. However, I am a petrol-head and I love racing games. This looks like being the start of a whole new market for Handmark/Astraware. The accelerometer feature of the iPhone means a whole new way of running games on handhelds. Will we see this other G-sensor games in coming mobile devices, such as the HTC Diamond or TouchPro? I hope so.
