Do You Skyfire?
If not, why not? It’s improved by leaps and bounds since it made it’s debut back in February this year. Pocket Internet Explorer 6 may not be coming to current Windows Mobile devices but that’s nothing to cry about when you are using Skyfire.
This great browser works just like Opera Mini in the sense that it relies on server-side rendering to get the job done. Not only is this method secure but the Skyfire optimizes the page on their end before sending it over to your device. The result? Less downloaded data which translates into a quicker browsing experience.
The goodness does not just stop there. It’s the only browser I know of that supports AJAX, QuickTime and Flash without the need for additional add-on or tweaking. To put it in layman’s terms, you can now watch Hulu.com videos and listen to music from Last.fm, all from the browser. Other platforms like the OSX on the iPhone and Android claim to bring the web to your mobile device but Skyfire proves it.
So if you have not heard of Skyfire, head over here to download it. It’s free and no longer restricted to US users. Even users with VGA screens are supported. Try it for yourself and see just why Skyfire is THE browser to have on your Windows Mobile device.
