Hey, Baseball Fans!! Now You Can Enjoy Your Favorite Teams From The Comfort Of Your Own Phone.

You have probably figured out by now that I am a pretty big baseball fan.  I mean, who can forget this classic shot of the field from my seats at Opening Night at the National new ballpark

Unfortunately, I do not have the time or money to make it to every game (don’t I wish I could do that).  But I still want to keep abreast of the action.  So, what is a mobile fan like me to do?

Well, it is Major League Baseball to the rescue (bet you never thought I would say that).  For just $3.99 a month, you can download up to ten instant video highlights per game.  Straight to your phone!  All the info can be found at the MLB Mobile Web Page.  But here is the short version:

Beginning on Opening Day, MLB.com will be delivering real-time video alerts to mobile devices. The alerts will appear within 2-4 minutes from the conclusion of the play on the field and will be offered to Team Alert subscribers at no additional charge from the current rate of $3.99 per month. Fans can sign up by texting “GET (Club nickname)” to 65246. For example, a Mets fan would send the text “GET METS” to 65246.

So, if you can’t take me out to the ballgame, at least you can take the ballgame to me (and I will still spring for the peanuts and Cracker Jacks).
