Launch Giveaway V: Let’s Hear From You
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Someone on the site the other day commented that everything looks better in Roman numerals. So, I thought I would give that a try. I mean, what the heck, it worked for Mac OS X, right?
OK, let’s get on with the winning. For the last four days, we have talked about the site and introduced you to all of its features. Now that you have had a chance to digest the registration and comments, RSS and subscriptions, Facebook, and links, we want to know what you think of it all. This is your chance to give us some feedback. What do you love about the site? What do you think we could improve? Let us know. We listen to all of it, and have already made some tweaks based on readers’ suggestions. You can feel free to leave your suggestions in the comments here, or use the contact form. Either way will earn you an entry. So, let’s hear from you.

Firstly I’d like to say that I just LOVE this new site.
I think that it has the right combination of relevant content and update frequency.
If it was me, I wouldn’t muck around with it too much (if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it)
one little suggestion that I have concerns the software reviews in the site: they are very thorough and very interesting. I think that it would be beneficial to add (preferably to the start of each post) some kind of score for the application, either by indicating how may stars out of 10, or by giving it different scores in different areas.
I really like the candidness of the reviews and the fact that they are not biased in any way. You name the good sides along with the bad sides of each item that is reviewed, and that is just great.
Thanks for this wonderful site!
So far, I’m a big fan. I don’t do the social networking stuff (I can barely keep my real life in order), so I can’t speak much to those features. But I like the articles and the website is designed well.
Any chance the login link could be moved toward the top? That’s the only suggestion I have!
Just some comments about the layout. I’m using a 1024×768 resolution, and all I see on the first fold of the site before I scroll down is the headline of the latest article. The subscription and community links take up quite a big chunk of screen estate. How about resizing them or even moving it to the side bar?
Otherwise, everything’s good!
I would like to see your posts broken in the news feeds. Having the entire post show up in my feed reader can be rather annoying. If you could have your rss feed do a snippet that would be much preferable.
This site has rapidly become my main source of PDA info, but I would like to see a mobile web site for My Today Screen so I can better browse it from my PDA.
How about adding a series of how-to articles? There are so many cool tricks and functions in Windows Mobile and it would be great.
Well I already liked the first post, because it announced that this would be a blog with some guy named Doug who, I believe, wrote some reviews I tend to like a lot; and with some dude named Tariq, who, if I recall correctly, wrote several very enjoyable series. So if they join together, invite some other people over, and start their own party here, I guess things must work out correctly right from the start, right?
;)
I’m Stefan’s girlfriend and I recently got a HTC Touch because I like the games on his device so much. So I really like the game-related articles, because he can forward the good stuff to me!
I like this, just a slightly different perspective, and a fresh look on handhelds. I really like the length of the reviews and other articles; more depth and you get to the details I am interested in a little more often.
Perhaps some on differences of apps on different devices, like Axims and HPs versus WMx phones - how the same apps look and operate differently.
Like the site a lot and especially look forward to the reviews from Doug and articles from Tariq. Still too new for me to say that there´s anything that could be done better, but will pipe up when I find something…… count on it
I love the site. I like that it is focused on WM devices so that just about every post is applicable to me and my device and is something that I’ll likely want to read about.
I don’t do the social networking stuff so I can’t evaluate it. I wouldn’t want to see an increase in that info either.
I would like to see posts about tweaks or additions for my WM device. I like to read XDA, PPC Geeks, etc. and they always have great info on how to make my device better. You do have to weed through a lot of heavy technical stuff, though. It would be great to have some of that info available on a weekly basis on your site.
I love the software reviews and would like to see more–heavier on the utilities rather than the games.
Thanks for creating such a great site!
Hey, Kim, and others. Thanks fro the fantastic suggestions. Tariq and I have already been discussing some of them and he will likely do a post soon to follow up on them. Kim, just to let you know, Donghoon is currently one week into an 8 week series of registry tweaks for Windows Mobile, so you should enjoy that. And as for the reviews…there will be plenty of all kind of programs coming.
Doug
So far what i’m appreciating about the site is, it’s organized and useful. It appears, not that you provide alot of new info that a ton of other sites aren’t, but that you stay focused on what’s useful to Mobile AND you seem to take the reviews and explanations a little further, which is very helpful.
I must admit I don’t use the website that much as I use the RSS feed for the information. However, when I do source the site I find it quick and easy to get around.
I’ve been visiting the site daily and have found some useful info. When I click on a link, I’d like to see it open a new tab (at least in FireFox). That way I can keep reading the current page without having to click backwards to go back to where I was. Keep up the good work.
Hey, mkss. Actually, most of the links within stories should be opening in a new tab or window. I’ll take a look at that now.
Doug
I agree with what others have said about reorganizing a bit. Login (and Register) should be near the top of the page (you do want people to register, I assume :D) and the community and subscription stuff should be moved to the side bar. Maybe a three-column layout would help in that regard.
I also wish there was a Preview Comment feature. That’s especially useful when you’re using HTML. Maybe WordPress doesn’t have that, but please look into it.
The content is cool so far. I’ve updated the links section of my site to link to the site.
I just found this site so I’m still learning about everything.
Loving the site so far - I think the site is a bit cluttered, that’s all.
I’m an old timer when it comes to PCs, but I’m just a newcomer to the Windows mobile world.
I’m glad that there’s a site like this, which helps me adapt to the WM world.
I really like the new format and the rich information that comes in the RSS links (to lazy to actually browse anywhere these days).
I would like to see a mobile web site for My Today Screen so I can better browse it from my HTC Touch. I love the site, good articles, I hope you can keep it up.
I like this way, I´m checking My Today Screen RSS daily now. Thanks for the great work.
