good post...thanks. just picked up the Omnia and need to definitely tweak the reg keys. its a good device, but way too many redundant features and just want to shut things down really. I would love to see more posts on activesync optimization

Furhter to Rambaldi comment. I have the same problem with not getting notification sound or vibration when receiving a new Text Message. I have found it is because i have deleted that ActiveSync (Outlook E-mail) key. The notifications will work if i have the key in there. I dont need any other subkeys. But then i am back to the same problem of having the ActiveSync\Outlook mailbox in my messages which i dont want. Anyone know how i can get rid of it without loosing my notifications?

At some point my Touch Cruise lost the ability to notify new incoming SMS messages, although the settings under Sound and Notifications appear to be correct (Display message and Vibrate are checked). Could you point me to the registry entry that should be checked ? Or to what could be inteferring with the mentioned settings ?

thank you sprnwinkel,
I'm just glad that these posts are actually being put into good use. That makes me feel that time dedicated to finding these tweaks were worth it.
While I know some tweaks maybe ones people know, I just hope to bring at least one or two things that will be useful and fun for people.
Thanks again and please do keep you eye out on these weekly posts!

For me the name of the registry key folder is "ActiveSync". However, inside that is a key called "FrienlyName" and that says "Outlook E-mail". So the actual name is ActiveSync, but it will show inside the Messaging application as Outlook E-mail. :)

"Customize SMS delivery confirmation message"
This is cool! :D I didn't know that all these messages could be customized, delivery confirmation isn't the only one. I didn't try them, but I can imagine that people could just use all kinds of funny phrases here.

"Disable SMS Sent notification"
Thanks, for some weird reason these notifications stopped working for me a few days/weeks ago, all of the sudden they were gone. Now I know where to enable them again!

I'm quite familiar with the registry tweaks for Today screen softkeys, today plugins (well the Order etc, not all keys), GPRS disconnect bubble, etc.. But there are certainly new things for me in this series! :D

Interesting. Thanks for letting me know.
I guess depending on device some key name will differ. I will make a note of that starting next tweak post. Thanks again digiSal.
