In the market for a device mount to use in your car? Mike Temporale over at mobile jaw has just reviewed the ProClip which is a custom in-car mounting system. It’s not your typical car mount because it actually comprises of a car mount and a device mount (as seen from the photos above).
He does a great job of covering the mount in detail so if you are considering a replacement for that device mount, rather than going out to buy the same thing, why not check out Mike’s review?

I’ve owned a set of the ProClips for several years now. I have the single Car Mount and the Adapter that allows me to mount 2 devices to a single mount. I highly, no strongly!, recommend them. Since I just recently replaced my phone, I don’t have a mount for the current phone, but I do have my GPS and my XM Radio Receiver mounted. These work great and it certainly doesn’t scream “Round Suction Mount - Must be a GPS hidden inside” so I’m not so paranoid about having my car broken into looking for a GPS.
The safety factor provided by the ProClip system is so great that the insurance companies should give a discount to folks who use them.
I run my iPod off of one and can manage it pretty easily with minimal “eyes-off-the-road” time.
As a cyclist, I am keenly aware of the stories of folks getting run over by a driver who was looking for their iPod or phone to manage it.
ProClips are really great.
