More Phone Choices For US Customers Soon

When I was in Singapore, the choices I had for mobile phones were overwhelming. So much so that I got tired of my phone and changed to a new model at an average of once a month, sometimes twice if the phone I had was boring. This was not meant to boast but to show you just how much choice I had because the phones I got were rather cheap. However, when I came to the US recently, those choices that I took for granted quickly vanished. It has come to a point that I might just have to ask my friends back in Singapore to help me get a new one.
But thankfully that might not be the case. It seems that Carphone Warehouse is coming to the United States. Teaming up with Best Buy, they plan to roll out 1000 stores at launch. These will be located both inside Best Buy as well as standalone ones. What’s so great about Carphone Warehouse you ask? Well for one, you will no longer be limited to the phones your carrier offers. That means if you like the Tilt from AT&T but are with T-Mobile, you can buy the Tilt (I guess they will sell it as the HTC Kaiser) and bundle it with your T-Mobile subscription. That way, you still get subsidized phones. How awesome is that? (via SolSie.com)
