To consider that is. It’s called the Celio RedFly. Not much was known about this device when it was first announced but that’s about to change as more and more sites get their hands on it. One such site is How you'll be using the RedFlyClintonFitch.com. He’s just reviewed this device which provides you with a higher resolution in the form factor of a UMPC.

What I really like about the device is that is actually gives you more real estate screen space with the 800×600 resolution (instead of enlarging everything to fill the space). Not only that, it’ gives your device 2 USB ports as well so you could hook up a mouse if you prefer that instead of the trackpad.

Head on over to his site to find out what he thinks of it. It’s a great read (like all his reviews) and you’ might just end up with a lighter wallet after you do.

The more I look at phones like the HP iPaq 910, the more I want this for the added screen real estate. The extra battery life would be nice too. My only concern would be the size of the keyboard. I had a hard time with the Eee PC 701 keyboard and I think it is about the same size.

Good point there Brett. We’re all looking at the screen real estate that we tend to forget other parts like the keyboard.

Brett, I can only compare it to my Dell D630 laptop and say it is more than comfortable to use. I have rather large hands and had no problem using the REDFLY during my time with it.

Thanks for the great review and the response Clinton! That was really my only concern. Looks like I may have found a replacement for my HTC Advantage.
