New Google Maps For Pocket PC

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

While firing up the Google Maps on my Glofiish X500 last night, I got a message that a newer version was available. Coming in at v2.0.1.28, I could not really find any improvements or new features. Everything looks and functions the same to me actually and I could not find a changelog anywhere. So if you are user of Google Maps on your Pocket PC, you might have already been given this update if you use it heavily.

Otherwise, launch it and you will be guided to download and install the new version. Alternatively, you could head over here and enter your mobile number to get a message giving you the link. Or point your mobile browser directly to http://www.google.com/gmm to get the download direct. Does anyone know what changes were made to this newer version?

I had this happen to me last night, too.
I loved that feature in Windows Live Search, and was wondering when Google would include it, too.
Unfortunatlely, a change-log would really be helpful to keep track of what’s new about it.

So far I have yet to see a changelog when Google does an update, just a short paragraph on the new features on their website. Hopefully they change this.

magic ! just updated, working great on my Htc touch .
where / when for pedestrian version ?

Not too sure though. Google says soon but as to exactly when, it’s anybody’s guess.
