New Version Of NewsGator For WM
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
There are many ways of checking your feeds and NewsGator is probably the choice of some of the readers here. What I like about NewsGator is the fact that they have an all in one system that integrates really nicely with the other platforms.
That means, say if you read your feeds on your Windows Mobile device. When you get home and sync, those feeds will be marked as read when you access them through your desktop so you would not have to wonder which ones you’ve read and which you have not. If this all sounds great to you, be sure to check out their new Windows Mobile client which was recently updated to version 2.0.0.25419. Among the changes include:
- scrolling in post detail view crash resolved
- mark all read – if you are on the post list view and select “Mark All Read” it takes you to the next feed or back to the feed list if you are at the end
- index position after detail view – after closing the post detail view we have fixed the defect that was not preserving the selection and scroll position
- post detail screen – if you select next and are at the end of the feed list it now brings you back to the feed list
- description overlap in post list view – we removed carriage return line feeds from author element to prevent text overlap
- progress bar – vertical position causing an unnecessary scroll bar on the feed list view
- list drawing – fixed misleading whitespace at bottom of post list view when there are more articles present
- selection was getting hidden in post list view on scrolling
- click on a post to view fixed on Pocket PC

Thanks for posting this, Tariq.
I’ve been trying Newsgator for the last week or so on my Mogul.
All in all I like it, but for some reason the close/ok command doesn’t work throughout the application.
I’m now installing this newer version and hope it’ll take care of that issue.
Aside from that, I’ve been using it exclusively over NewsBreak lately and I’ve been very impressed!
No worries Andrew. I am glad you found it useful. Hopefully this new version fixes that problem.
