No Press Release From SonyEricsson Today

SonyEricsson So it’s almost the end of November 3rd 2008 and there’s still no press release from SonyEricsson (SE) with regards to the America version of the XPERIA X1. While there’s still an hour to go if you’re here in the Eastern zone (or 4 if you’re on the West Coast), it’s highly unlikely that SE will release one so late. If the rep I spoke to earlier was right (and I hope he is), it looks like SE is trying to sort out the issues with T-Mobile’s 3G network. Whether this means the American version of the X1 will eventually support the UMTS 1700/2100 MHz, no one can know for sure. It could just be SE wanting to confirm that the X1 does not work with T-Mobile’s network (unlikely) or trying to get it to work with it. The way I look at it, no point calling it an American version if it will not work with it.
