I just purchased and downloaded the 2.02 zoomboard which I really do like, however, my concern is when i went into options I was able to perform different settings and leave the area, but when I tapped on LAYOUTS and it came up, after I was done, there was no possible way to come out of the layouts option. I had to tap the on buttons on the actual pda case itself. Then whenever I re-visited the options area, it just kept showing the layouts screen and would'nt allow me to go any farther, is this a bug.

Thanks for the heads up Konstantin. I do find ZoomBoard useful too for web surfing because I get to type pretty fast using the keys. Especially more so on SkyFire which does not seem to accept pre-formed words.

Tariq, this is a spam message in Russian. The guy is asking for an optimal route for his holiday trip over Russia and neighbouring countries. It makes no harm to delete it altogether.
As for breaking habits, I agree that it's not that easy to switch from one SIP to a new one. I find ZoomBoard particularly useful when I'm going somewhere by public transport and it is very difficult to hit the correct button. With ZoomBoard I'm sure to type the correct letter, b/c it's zoomed and b/c it's only when I release my finger that it's typed.

I honestly have no idea what that means. Can anyone translate? Google translates this into something about cruises and Russia.

I couldn't agree more with your Stefan. Changing SIPs is not as simple as changing another application due to the habits that we have formed using those SIPs.

Well I guess this is all dependent on the users. Some may find that it might be faster (though I have yet to try it myself) but may not want to pull out that stylus while there are those who might prefer a finger friendly SIP over speed.

I've used Zoomboard as well, but I had the same issue as you, Tariq: I was used to something else.

In my situation, it was the black keyboard that could be downloaded for Resco Keyboard Pro, and right now I still use it, even though there are new keyboard layouts available and I even created my own one. The small black keyboard has lots of keys on it and just works fine for me. Zoomboard just didn't had what it takes to break the habit of using that other keyboard, but it IS a very well though out application. :)

Thanks for your review of zoomboard. But if the issue was text speed, SLIDEIT will be the winner. The zoomboard still relies on touch/tap to type every letter in a word. With SLIDEIT you slide your stylus to every letter to form a word.
