Samsung SGH-i788 Coming To US?

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Samsung When Judie from Gear Diary reviewed the Samsung SGH-i620, she found the touch sensitive front buttons to be cumbersome and, on more than one occasion, caused her to almost want to throw the device out of her office Window. For me, the deal-breaker with that device was the lack of WiFi. I am still looking for a front QWERTY device and it seems that might search may soon be over.

In comes the SGH-i788 by Samsung. This seems to be the US version of the SGH-i780 (which is not coming to the US). No news yet as to when it will be released but I sure hope that it would be soon enough. Specs include 320×320 screen resolution, WiFi, front QWERTY keyboard and built-in GPS. (via the::unwired)

Wow, if this thing makes it to ATT this is the device that could get me to finally retire my original BlackJack. It sounds promising since the model number differs from the Euro version the same way the original BlackJack differed so we might actually have something here.

This is now on my radar. Now just to see if this one or the Treo 800w comes out first.

This phone has been on my radar for some time now, initially starting with its European sibling the i780. I’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting for this to be released in the US.

Currently I have a Dell Axim PPC WM6.1 Pro and my original Blackjack WM6.1 Stnd… I love the Smartphone edition but the touchscreen allows it to be much more compatible. I would love to be able to converge my 2 devices, and I believe this is the one to to do it for me.

This is a nice phone and also on my radar. As well as the Ultimate 8502. But it seems that there might be some problems getting the 8502 into the US.
