Social Networking Links

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Social NetworkingSo we decided to do a bit more tweaking around here and this time around, we’ve removed the Social Networking header that was in the sidebar. Don’t get us wrong, we are very much in love with social networking like Facebook though we are still trying to figure out how to use Twitter and Jaiku efficiently.

Instead, we have moved all the links from the Social Networking section to the Your Say section. A tab has been specially created for it called Follow Us (how apt huh?)

To make it easier for you, here are all our social networking tools:

If you have not signed up for them, I would urge you to do so.

That’s because I have some prizes to give away and to qualify, you’ll need to be using the services (such as Twitter, Jaiku and Gravatar) or be part of the community (Facebook, BlogCatalog, MyBlogLog).

So hurry and join us there. More info about the contests soon enough.

P.S. We’re not social network rockstars (in case you have yet to guess it). So if you have a suggestion on how we can use these services efficiently, do be sure to leave a comment below.

It might be nice if you setup a http://twitterfeed.com/ of your rss feed so we who follow you get notified of new posts on the site. If you have any questions about twitter feel free to send me a message and follow me back at vkoser.

Thanks for your offer. I plan to set up twitterfeed or something similar but it seems the service is down at the moment.

TwitterFeed is all set up and good to go.

The site looks cleaner without the social networking block.

However, might I suggest picking one or two sites (like Facebook and Twitter) and sticking to them? Making people register at multiple sites is a bit too spammy for me. You’ve seen contests where the site admin gave prizes for people who posted the most links to their site, right? This almost seems like a subscription drive for those other sites.

I’m happy to register at a site that covers a topic of interest, like here, but I don’t want to create profiles at sites I’ll never use just to win a contest. (And besides, Twitter seems fairly frivolous and Jaiku never made much sense to me the few times I’ve visited.)

Thanks for the suggestions Pony99CA.

I do agree that there are a lot of Social Networking tools out there but we do have plans for the ones we have chosen. Not to worry, all will be revealed in due time.

I agree with Pony99CA, there have been two contests (here and GearDiary) that required membership on Facebook, and I just don’t use that. I refuse to sign up for a service or website unless I intend to use it for the purpose of the website.
That’s not to say that it’s a bad thing that people can find MyTodayScreen on lots of places! It just means that people won’t find me there in the near future. ;)
