Streaming Video on a Windows Mobile Device

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

One of the most common questions I get asked by new users is how can I watch streaming video on a Windows Mobile device. Until recently, the answer was “forget it”. Over the course of the last few months, however, this answer has changed to you can do it, but it is still fairly complicated, and finally to hear is an easy way to do it. Brandom Miniman over at PocketNow just posted about vTap, a free utility which allows you to watch streaming video, including YouTube, from your Windows Mobile device. To check it out and start watching videos, just visit vtap.com from your mobile browser.

And while you are at it, I suggest you surf over to Jason Langridge’s site and check out this 40 minute video of several Microsoft employees discussing the highlights of the upcoming Windows Mobile 6.1. Here is a direct link to the video.
