Trip Tracker Comes To Windows Mobile
If you are a Palm user before you converted to a Windows Mobile device, then you might have come across Time Tracker by iambic. It’s a travel companion application that aims to make your travels as paperless as possible. With e-tickets and e-boarding pass already a reality on some airlines, Trip Tracker would just lighten your load further with what it has to offer.

This being it’s first version on Windows Mobile is actually the work of many revisions on the Palm platform so don’t be surprised to see a v4.0 on it. Trip Tracker aims to make your trip easier by helping you keep track of all the important things such as flight details (including connections to be made), hotel confirmation and rental car details and just about any other details that you need to keep track of. But that’s not all.
It also has a frequent flier feature built-in which is perfect for those who have such service. Check your balances, status and recent activity all from one application.
If you are a traveling businessman (or woman), then you would also want to keep accurate tracking of your spending for tax purposes later on right? Or maybe it’s for reimbursement purposes? Whatever the case, Trip Tracker can help you right from the start. Just enter the expenditure and it’ll help you with the conversion. You can even categorize your spending if you want choose.
What’s even cooler is the fact that it has a desktop counterpart so you can sync data and check or edit them on your desktop. As great as a portable tool our Windows Mobile devices are, sometimes, certain tasks are better done on a desktop, wouldn’t you agree?
If Trip Tracker sounds like something you have been looking for, be sure to check it out here. Licenses go for $19.95 for the standalone Windows Mobile version and $29.95 for one with the desktop client added. You could also download a trial to see if it’s the one you’ve been searching for. Don’t want to argue the point but this is not the first Windows Mobile version of Trip Tracker. I used and relied on it for years when it was sold by the company that originally developed it (whose name I cannot recall).
I have tried several Win Mo travel programs and Trip Tracker was the only one I ever found that handled time zone changes during flights flawlessly. It synced wiht Outlook and made all the appropriate changes to departure and arrival times so they were correct.

No arguments
I was just not too sure about it when I was writing the article because this was the first time I saw it being sold by iambic yet it was for v4.0 which added to the confusion.
Chuck, you may be right that there was another company that made this program. I can only tell you what was on their web site. There, it clearly states that this was an initial release.
Which does still leave the question why it is a version 4. I suspect that either versions 1-3 were Palm apps only. Or, like you said, they may have purchased this from another company and this is their initial release. I don’t really know the answer to that.

Yes, Iambic bought the rights to a lot of ‘Two Peaks’ Software’s products(all but FlexWallet which WebIS purchased) including TripTracker.
Birdsoft,
Thanks for the company name. About the time I hit the site today I finally remembered what it was.

Thanks, Birdie. And FlexWallet, as we all know, no longer exists as it has now been merged with Ilium’s eWallet.
