Weekend Wrap Up: A New Beginning
There has been quite a few changes here at My Today Screen, all in the hope of providing our readers with the best experience. For starters, we decided to get rid of the Windows Mobile Weekly News Round Up because we felt that it was old news that many our of tech-savvy readers had already read somewhere else. What else was there to report?
We also decided to get rid of posting about news releases on a daily basis, whether they’re big or small news. Same reason as well: chances are, you would have read about it somewhere else first.
But we wouldn’t be a Windows Mobile site if we didn’t cover news so rather than do posts about it, we created our very own news river page. Just head over here and you will get to see the 50 most recent headlines in the Windows Mobile world. This is a very early working version of the news river so do let us know how we can improve it.
We also decided to focus a lot more on original content which is what appeals to you. You’ve seen 2 of those new features we just added: Ask The Reader and Ecosystems.
The idea behind Ask The Reader is that we knew we had a great community that had a great wealth of knowledge and we wanted to tap into that. We wanted the community to share the knowledge they had with others around them so that every one benefits from it. I was rather impressed with the first article in that series and I look forward to a lot more from you guys.
As for Ecosystems, we all know just how great the Windows Mobile platform but there are definitely some loopholes there. With that in mind, we wanted to use other platforms, such as me with the Android and Brett with the iPhone’s OS X, and share with readers our opinions on them. We wanted to show just how much better Windows Mobile could be in certain situations and also, how we could learn from these platforms and improve WM.
That’s not all though. We also have a few other features we are working on so you’ll definitely want to check back often to find out what’s happening here. One way to do that is to subscribe to our RSS feed. Another way is to read the Weekend Wrap Up where we share with readers what happened in the past week and what we’re working with on for the next. You’ll definitely want to check it out.
All in all, I am really excited about the changes happening at My Today Screen. As always, let us know how we are doing in the comments below. Like the new changes? Want to recommend something? Let your thoughts be heard!

Just wanted to say “Hi” and let you know that I’m still reading the RSS feed of MTS. ‘Real life’ got a bit busier and I also received an iPod Touch which I’m really enjoying. (So much games!!!)
So the best of luck with the changes, I generally like ‘fresh’ things, and to be hones I never read the roundups. Indeed it was often news that was featured both here and on other blogs, so it was not necessary to repeat it again.
Warm regards,
Stefan

You’ll definitely want to check back from time to time. We promise a whole lot of freshness and a lot less of the stale stuff (if I may call it that).
