PPCTechs Celebrates America’s Birthday In A Great Way

PPCTechs With the price of everything going up and our salaries remaining the same (in a best case scenario), everybody’s feeling the pinch of high prices, not just at the pumps, but at the grocery stores and elsewhere too. Well PPCTechs feels for you and they’ve got an awesome way to alleviate some of that pain.

Starting yesterday till the end of July 2008, you can BUY 2 ACCESSORIES AND GET 1 FREE. The third would have to be of equal or lesser value of the the highest priced accessory excluding tax.

So you could go and get one of their mounting solutions and headset adapters and choose a replacement stylus for free (based on prices that is). Or switch the replacement stylus with their highly recommended White Shield screen protectors.

To enjoy this great offer, be sure to enter promo code PPCTRC0708 before checking out. Head over here and select your accessories now.

But if repairs are what you need, PPCTechs has that covered too. They’ve got a 15% off MSRP for all repairs with the same code (PPCTRC0708). Their service is one of the best around and you’d be doing yourself a great favor by sending your devices to them when the need arises.

You’ve spent good money on your device. Pamper (and protect it) with the accessories from PPCTechs.

FriendMobilizer Does A Better Facebook Than Facebook Mobile

FriendMobilizer I am a Facebook-er but accessing it from my Windows Mobile device is not exactly a great experience. The mobile version of Facebook is rather limited in terms of features and scrolling up and down on the full version through Skyfire or Opera Mobile is just too much scrolling.

In comes FriendMobilizer. With this application, you get almost the full experience of Facebook on Windows Mobile. From messages to profiles and wall posts, almost everything that you can do on your desktop (save for picture uploads I think), you could do it here.

Best of all it’s free. Unfortunately, it’s ad-supported. Guess you can’t get the best of everything? So if you can’t bear to be away from Facebook while you’re out and about, be sure to hit up FriendMobilizer and download it.

Widgets Comes To Windows Mobile Via NetFront

One of the many widgets avaialble They’ve been on  desktops for quite a while now but their presence on mobile devices is a totally different story. Not anymore as Access Co., the company that brought you the NetFront browser, now brings you the NetFront Browser Widgets community site.

Based on the NetFront engine (which is a powerful one in my opinion), users can now access information from the web without having to launch the browser. Data such as weather is automatically fetched from the web so you always have the latest on your device.

Currently, it’s only available for WM 5.0 and 6.0 running Classic and Professional (the touch screen versions) with support for WM 5.0 and 6.0 Standard versions (the non touch screen) slated for release in the future. (via the::unwired)

More Info On The HTC Raphael

HTC Rapahel

While the world has been hit by article after article of the HTC Diamond, not much is known about the Raphael, it’s keyboard counterpart. That’s about to change though as articles from various sites start trickling in. For starters, PhoneScoop’s photos on the Touch Pro (as what it’s also called) shows it as a rather huge device when compared with the Diamond but considering how tiny the Diamond is, that should not bother most of us.

Mobileburn finds out that the keyboard is smaller than what they’ve seen on the T-Mobile Wing or AT&T Tilt but are still very usable, even more so than the upcoming XPERIA X1. For those who prefer watching a video than scrolling through an article, SlashGear has a video for you to enjoy.

Unfortunately, we were not able to see the Raphael in action due to a lack of battery (is HTC still working on the internals?) but hopefully that will change in the near future. (via WMExperts)

Windows Mobile Owners Circle Gets A Facelift

The new Windows Mobile Total Access

And it doesn’t stop there. It’s now known as the Windows Mobile Total Access as well. A one stop shop for Windows Mobile users where they can get their fix of Windows Mobile in terms of offers, new software and great content. Wait a minute, My Today Screen does that too. Anyway, this is worth a look and if you needed a sign that Microsoft was still interested in Windows Mobile, this could just be it. (via Pocket PC Thoughts)

Viigo 3.0 Beta Arrives At Windows Mobile

Viigo The thing about surfing the web from your mobile device, be it Windows Mobile or iPhone is that most web pages out there are made for desktop viewing. So even if you can zoom in and out, it’s still a cumbersome task if you ask me, especially when you are just looking for one that one bit of information.

In comes Viigo. Well it’s actually been around quite a while if you noticed the 3.0 version. What it does it to format information into a mobile-friendly interface for your viewing pleasure. So say you want to check the weather. You no longer have to see the ads and other graphics as Viigo formats them into a way that serves you best.  (via SolSie.com)

VITO Brings FunContact v2.15

Bright skin on FunContact

One of the most finger-friendly contact application for Windows Mobile just got an update recently. FunContact, coming in at 2.15, now supports the black skin which you’ve seen on the ZoomBoard and SMS-Chat application. So now you can deck your Windows Mobile device in the skin of your choice to match the rest of it.

But that’s not all as it now also supports joystick. Yes, yes, this should have been implemented a long time ago but hey, better late than never right? Head on over here and grab your latest. If you don’t have one, why not try it out? (via VITO Press Release)
